In October 2006, six months after financing had been pulled for "A Gift for Kathryn", the project's producer, Brent Leavitt, formed the Sun Swing Media Company with one main objective in mind: complete the project. "A Gift for Kathryn" is an animated adaptation of a short story that was first published in the Friend Magazine, and the first in a series of six shorts scheduled for production. During that six month interlude, Brent received a crash course in marketing and sales as a route manager for Schwan's Frozen Foods, including access to Schwan's on line business courses.

Taking his second major leap of faith on this project, Brent resigned from his full time job, and organized the Sun Swing Media Company. At that same time, an unsolicited check from a close friend was received by mail for the express purpose of helping to fund this project. Timing was everything. That generous gift was used to finance fund-raising costs and launch this company on a singular journey through uncharted waters.

After several proposals for funding and financing failed to materialize, Brent came to the sobering realization that this project was too big to take on as a hobby, but too small for any investors to consider for funding and was put on hold after several months of fund raising attempts gone sour.

Yet much has happened between the company's opening date and today, two years later. Strategic alliances have been formed and fostered. Industry experiences and exposure has been gained by Brent and others now involved that were not in place when the company was organized. Much sacrificing, prayer, and hard work have continued the forward movement of this company.

Notable has been the success that the company has enjoyed in Internet design and development work. This experience has positioned the company to explore revolutionary distribution models and bridge to international markets like never before. Today, due in part to our success in on line projects, that initial gift has been restored to the primary purpose for which it was given, and has become the first donation to finally fund "A Gift for Kathryn" and other similar projects that are now in development.

Funds collected for the financing of these projects are being regarded with an almost sacred reverence.
