Courtesy of BYU Center for AnimationEarlier this week, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced this year’s student Oscars. Out of three slots in the animation category, BYU’s Center for Animation picked up awards for both Pajama Gladiators and their latest film, Kites.
This is the first time that BYU has been awarded with double Oscars in a single year. The Center for Animation has received two other Oscars for past films Lemmings and Turtles. The program has consistently brought home Student Emmies since the program was formally organized in 2001.
