I realize that its been very quiet on this site for last little while.  However, I felt I should offer a plug today for the LDS Film Makers Network which has been up and running now for the past year or so. Also, if you haven’t been there recently, there’s a fun and intelligent new post by Adam Figueira at Towards an LDS Cinema about Filmmaking Paradigms. Read it and answer for yourself what paradigm best describes your situation.

Created by Randy Astle, the purpose of the LDS Film Makers’ site is create a global network of like-minded, Gospel-oriented filmmakers. This focus gives witness to the reality that the LDS Cinema movement can not be a Utah-specific culture, event, or progression, as it has proven to be over the past decade. Instead, for LDS Cinema to thrive is must become a global phenomenon, as has the LDS Church itself.
