Perhaps it’s the nature of the industry, that swimming in shark-infested waters mentality which effects so much of our modern media product, that it seems hard to find those types who are interested, sincerely interested in creating the type of product audience are continually craving.
In other words, a filmmaker must truly be able to transcend our daily activities to create something worthy of the attention of our audience–who surely want something better and more engaging than what they find around them every day. This is the challenge. And I find no better prescription in achieving this objective than to practice the daily routines of the LDS faith, namely, heart-felt communion of faith (i.e. prayer) with a loving Heaven Father and intense submersion in the word of God, particularly the Book of Mormon.
